Community Site in a Box server maintenance
Since we last contacted all Community Site in a Box (CSIAB) users to advise them of the server upgrade, we have received some reports of ongoing website administration problems.
We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience whilst the systems administrators, Lateral Plains, continue to work on resolving these issues.
The main reason for the migration to another server was that the previous server had aged. Lateral Plains saw a need to upgrade the system to a more current platform to ensure its continuing functionality. However, they did not anticipate there would be these migration issues.
Lateral Plains is happy to provide a more detailed technical explanation of the server issues for CSIAB users. They are also willing to handle support issues directly.
We will advise when these issues have been completely resolved.
UPDATE: Friday 1 August 2014
Community Site in a Box users have reported some residual problems with their websites and email since the server migration last week.
We advise that Community Site in a Box users email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with any issues and we will report these to the systems administrators at Lateral Plains, who will work on resolving them as soon as possible.
