A total of 7 events were conducted in Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, Darwin, Adelaide, Brisbane and Canberra in August, 2006. A total of more than 170 people attended the various events, with Federal/State/Local government, industry associations, community groups and other stakeholders represented each event.
In the first month following the .auCD national launch and roadshow, 26 applications have been received from communities spanning 6 Australian states and territories. Additionally, more than 160 Australian localities have registered their interest in a Community Geographic Domain Name.
Sensis, auCD's foundation sponsor, supplied Sensis USB drives containing information were distributed to guests at most events.
