Wollongong Community Website goes live!
The Wollongong Community Website went live on May, 17, 2006. Wollongong Lord Mayor Alex Darling and University of Wollongong associate professor Peter Hyland launched the Wollongong Community Website at the council chambers. The website is to be run by the community for the community: visit www.wollongong.nsw.au
Wollongong Community Website Inc. were one of 3 Community Website Groups involved in the One City One Site (OCOS) pilot study. The Community Website Groups formed by Ballarat, Bathurst and Wollongong in the pilot study have had their Community Geographic Domain Name applications approved and have received early release of their domain name licences in recognition for all their work and support.
