Exciting new Community Website Development Help

auCD has some exciting news for communities who want their own CGDN websites.

From now until December 2009* auCD is offering – to any qualifying community** – free licensing of “Community Site in a Box.”.

In addition, Discount Domain Name Services (DDNS) one of the Registrars who have been long time supporters of the CGDN initiative is also making available an alternative package for communities which  includes a “SiteBuilder”, hosting and domain name registration starting from as little as $295 per annum.

These packages available give even more choice to communities who wish to build their own websites at little or no cost.

The initiative to offer the packages follows extensive consultation and feedback from all of the communities and organisations that have expressed interest in developing their own CGDN websites.

From our consultations it has become clear that communities are keen to develop their own CGDN websites but have been inhibited by the costs and some times lack of technical support to build a website. This has now been overcome with these dramatic new offerings.

Standardised geographic domain naming has been introduced to enable better access to local community, tourism and business information to help develop social, cultural and economic sustainable benefits.

And now it can be done for a limited time for FREE with auCD’s “Site in a Box” or for as little as $295 with DDNS’s flexible package.

* With previous offers made for the use of “Community Site in A Box” the licence granted  under its terms and conditions runs year to year. With this free offer the right of auCD to make “Community Site in a Box” available for your use ceases on 31 December 2009. While auCD will try to make this, or a similar, application available after this date, continued availability cannot be assured.
