News section on new Warilla site updates itself
17/Dec/2009
Since launching their CGDN recently, the Warilla community are making the most of the new Community Site in a Box upgrades by incorporating RSS feeds into their site.
By using the RSS Feed Reader Widget, website manager Richard Price doesn’t have to update the Local News and Weather section of the Warilla website as it automatically updates itself with up-to-date weather forecasts and local news from the local rag The Lake Times.
Currently RSS feeds are available on a large number of different websites such as newspapers, weather, emergency information, recipes, music charts, quotes of the day, games, horoscopes and many more. Using Community Site in a Box you can easily feed this information into your website and it will automatically update itself.
In addition to the news and weather feeds, Richard has put together a lot of other information on the Warilla Community website including a gallery, games section and other information about the area. “It is great to be able to contribute to the local community in such a way. Warilla is such a great place to live and I am glad that I can help others keep in touch with what’s going on.” Richard said.
