Taroona - the first Tasmanian CGDN to launch

Taroona is the first Tasmanian community to launch a Community Geographic Domain Name website.
A delighted Taroona community celebrated the launch of their new home at www.taroona.tas.au last night.
According to Deirdre Brown of the Taroona Community Association “the Taroona community website is a great way to bring the community together and to share news about events and activities.
“There has been an overwhelmingly positive response from community organisations and individuals since our Association approached them seeking support for the application for the community domain name.
“Two of the benefits which were immediately identified by people were that the Taroona Community Newsletter could be expanded without further cost, and that now there could be an easily-discovered source of information about the suburb for prospective new residents.”
