Community website links Talgarno to the world
The Talgarno community launched their community website this week at the Talgarno Town Hall. Community members are very excited to see their town become part of the online world at www.talgarno.vic.au
All over Australia communities like Talgarno are recognising the importance of a community website as the communication forum for local issues, news and events to residents of their town.
In our digital age, a community website plays a key role in promoting the town to visitors to the region including what to do when in town, accommodation and services.
The Talgarno website includes information on all aspects of the community including local news, events, business directory, tourist information, services and town history.
Brendan Pearson from the Talgarno Hall Committee of Management comments: “The community is really excited to have a patch on the web to call their own.
“The aim of the website is to build a one stop shop for all information about the Talgarno community. We hope that the site will be useful and informative for everyone living in Talgarno, Talgarno ex-pats, visitors to the area and businesses that operate in the area or have products or services of interest to the community.
“The site has everything from Talgarno community group information, essential services and email service for individuals and groups” Said Mr. Pearson.
