Beautiful beachside community of Rye launches new CGDN website
11/Oct/2010
Rye, a popular beachside destination along the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria has launched its own community website:
Rye's main beach, fronting Port Phillip Bay, offers safe sandy beaches, ideal for swimming and boating. There is a jetty, several boat ramps, and attractive foreshore facilities with picnic areas, shelters, playgrounds and walking tracks.
According to Bob Cooper from Rye Beach Community Action Inc, “We hope to use the website to continue providing information for both Rye residents and visitors about what there is to do in the Rye area, accommodation, shopping facilities, community groups, sporting and other clubs and a calendar of events.
“We will aim in the near future to add links to useful information such as weather, tide information and other useful organisations, pages for other local organisations such as the Rye Historical Society and Lions Club and a local area printable map and printable Local Information Brochure”.
