Mirboo North Community Website keeps community informed and triples its website hits

Coordinators of the Mirboo North community website at www.mirboonorth.vic.au banded together during last weeks fire disaster to ensure that community members could access important information including emergency numbers, local radio stations and information on the Gippsland Emergency Relief Fund.

Hits to the local website tripled over the course of the week as community members utilised their valuable information portal.

The South Gippsland Shire Council contacted the Mirboo North community website to acknowledge their efforts and provide additional information to be included on the site, realising its importance as a communication gateway for the local community.

To make a donation to help people effected by the fires contact  Gippland Emergency Relief Fund at  www.relieffund.org.au

The Community Geographic Domain Name website not only provides a huge opportunity to showcase all a township or suburb has to offer in tourism, business, sporting & community groups but is an effective way to provide up to date information during an emergency as we have seen in Mirboo North

The website is now displaying information on the South Gippsland Shire Councils Fire Recovery Plan and updating any important information as it is made available.
