The Delegate community in NSW launched their own community website last night. Bob Stewart, Mayor of the Bombala Shire Council inaugurated the launch of the site alongside the General Manager and Community Development Officer of the Council.
Located close to the border of Victoria, the small village of Delegate has a reputation as one of the finest trout fishing destinations in NSW.
According to website manager Sharon Buckman from the Delegate Progress Association, “We hope that the new Delegate community website will increase tourism to our area by showcasing all our town has to offer. The community would like to see the new site used as a means of letting more people within the area know about local events and news and to promote local businesses.”
During the website launch community members were shown the functions of the new site which overall has been received as a great addition to the town. Community groups and social clubs will now use the new Delegate website to advertise their upcoming events.
