Charlton College, its students and teacher Simon Peek assisted in the website development of the new community website

The Charlton community in northern Victoria is celebrating the launch of its own community website at www.charlton.vic.au

The Charlton website launched on Friday February 27th and includes a community events calendar, a ‘visiting Charlton’ section which outlines places of interest, accommodation and eateries in the area, local news, town history and a comprehensive business and community directory.

According to Garry Larmour of the Charlton Forum Inc: “The Charlton site seeks to provide as much information about Charlton, its history, its business and its organisations as possible in the hope that it will assist people to find what they are looking for or even to attract the occasional web browsers to come and see for themselves.

“We are very grateful to Charlton College, its students and teacher Simon Peek for their work in developing the site and to .au Community Domains for their assistance with getting us going and the provision of the ‘Community Site-In-a-Box’ program.

“We still have work to do but we are confident that time will help us to encourage the businesses/organisation not yet listed to come onboard and add to the value of the site and help make it work for our community. Said Mr. Larmour
