Carlton launches new website at Melbourne Museum
22/Sep/2010
The Carlton community launched their community website last week at the Melbourne Museum as part of the Carlton Community Plan.
The Plan will guide the work of the Opportunities for Carlton (OFC) project, a City of Melbourne community strengthening initiative, in partnership with the Victorian State Government. Through the OFC project, the City of Melbourne will support Carlton's residents, businesses, organisations and public institutions to work collaboratively to plan, coordinate and deliver targeted responses to local issues.
The Hon. Bronwyn Pike MP launched the community plan, followed by an introduction from Carlton community website administrator Mary Parfrey, who demonstrated the functions and features of the new site to a collection of community residents, local business operators and key figures within the area.

The new website features local news within the area, an events page, community forum, an employment, volunteering and training section and the Carlton community plan.
