Armadale WA launches their community portal today

armadale.wa.au to link diverse communities by making local information readily available

Armadale in Western  Australia launched their community portal today at www.armadale.wa.au.  A host of Local Government CEOs, Mayors and Business Leaders attended the official Breakfast launch this morning.

Armadale councillor Henry Zelones, from the Connection Communities Armadale Inc., urges "the Armadale community to get on-line and log on the new portal.  It's fast, easy and free".

The Armadale Mayor Linton Reynolds says "A community portal like this can link diverse communities by making local information readily available."

The Planning and Infrastructure Minister Alannah MacTiernan says "As Armadale welcomes tens of thousands of new residents in coming years there will need to be a local point of information about services offered in the region" and that "this is a fantastic service that was developed locally".
