Apple town Harcourt's website is at the core of local information

15/Dec/2009

The Harcourt community located in the Central Highlands of Victoria is the latest community to be announced as a live Community Geographic Domain Name website.

The small Harcourt community is best known for its many apple orchids and in recent years several wineries. Each year Harcourt is home to the annual Applefest, drawing hundreds of revellers into the town to participate in countless activities including a street parade, art show, pet parade, games, competitions, market stalls and everything you could possible imagine that bears some relevance to apples.

In addition to promoting the industry of the region and the Applefest, website administrator Garry Holmes says the new site is about bringing the community together. “The mission of the website is to bring together the organisations, clubs, committees, businesses and individuals into one central place where the Harcourt township and the wider Harcourt Valley Rregion can be accessed and promoted.” said Mr. Holmes.
