Townsville QLD

auCD were pleased to invite the people of Townsville and its surrounding localities to a free information seminar on developing a community website using Community Geographic Domain Name (CGDNs).

The event was held at the Oonoonba Community Centre on the 27^th October, 2009 and saw representatives from Townsville, Paluma, Thuringowa, Kirwan and Pallarenda in attendance.

All attendees were able to learn how their CGDN can be used to strengthen ties within the community as well as acting as a trusted local resource to those visiting or thinking of relocating to their localities.

Several groups from this seminar expressed interested in building their own community website and we look forward to seeing them come to life in the future
