Barossa SA
Aucd in conjunction with the Barossa Council were recently delighted to hold a free information seminar on developing a community website using Community Geographic Domain Names.
The seminar was held on the 25th November at the Angaston Town Hall and saw community members represent their local community groups from towns like Riverton and Tarlee.
auCD General Manager Leonie Dunbar explained how communities can apply for and create a unique website for their town using Community Geographic Domain Names. She spoke about the initiative and the help and support aucd provide, as well as sharing the experiences of other communities setting up their town website.
Louise Sladdin, the Broadband Project Officer for Central Local Government Region of SA Inc also spoke of the help and support she is able to provide to the community in regards to their queries about Broadband.
The highlight of the evening was the launching of two new community websites; Angaston at www.angaston.sa.au and Williamstown at www.williamstown.sa.au.
